Burgundy has an exceptional river network. No less than
7 canals criss-cross this vast region, providing over 1200 kilometres
of navigable waterways.
In addition, the region has sites made remarkable through their history:
the Beaune hospices, Abbeys of Fontenay, Alésia site, cities of
Paray-le-Monial, Dijon, Autun, etc.
Gastronomy has not been forgotten. There is a wealth of Burgundian specialities,
to be accompanied with equally fine wines: Montrachet, Chablis, Pouilly-Fuissé,
Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Aloxe-Corton, Nuits Saint-George,
etc.
